Wealth Inequality ChartsData on the distribution of wealth in the U.S. is collected every three years by the Federal Reserve's Survey of Consumer Finances. The most recent survey was conducted in 2001. Analysis of those survey results by NYU economist Edward N. Wolff is still underway. Until that analysis is completed, the most recent wealth distribution data is from the 1998 Survey of Consumer Finances.
