War and Globalization Workshop

“War and Globalization” was developed for the US peace movement’s use in fall 2003. It can be used for teach-ins or workshops with smaller groups, to build support for the Immigrant Workers’ Freedom Ride, fall protests against the World Trade Organization and Free Trade Area of the Americas.

Workshop goals:

1. Help peace activists define economic globalization as a peace issue.

2. Give peace activists information and tools to work against the WTO and FTAA.

3. Encourage peace activists to build ongoing coalitions with global justice organizations (including labor, global justice, student, and immigrant rights activists).
