National Campaign to Close the Wage Gap10 Things You Can Do to Close the Wage Gap1. Join the United for a Fair Economy Cluster Network to receive periodic issue updates. 2. Write an op-ed or letter to the editor on the issue. 3. Send a postcard to your Congressional Representative telling them to support and co-sponsor the Income Equity Act (H.R. 740) and legislation to raise the minimum wage. 4. Organize a Wage Gap Hearing and invite elected officials. Ask them to support legislation to close the wage gap. 5. Host an educational "Growing Divide" workshop for your religious, civic, or community group. 6. If you or an organization you are part of (religious congregation, union, school) own stock, initiate a shareholder resolution to address excessive CEO compensation at a selected corporation. 7. Get your organization to endorse the Wage Gap Campaign. 8. Select a local corporation with an especially large CEO-Worker pay gap. Hold pickets outside that company's headquarters. Mount a letter-writing campaign to the money manager at your favorite religious organization, union, university, foundation, or mutual fund demanding divestiture from corporations with large pay gaps. 10.
